This picture is of the black entrance to a movie theater because the African Americans were not treated right and they did not have the same color skin as white people, so that made whites think that they were barely people. This shows under Jim Crow laws the blacks were not given the rights they should have.
Simple things such as waiting rooms were even divided because the white people did not want to share any thing with the African Americans.
The picture shows how white people treated the blacks and how they got much nicer things.
Restrooms were divided by color too. Every day life objects like bathrooms were also.
