Ellen Craft was a afrian american who could pass for a white. William Craft & Ellen were both slaves. One day they decided to escape from slavery. Ellen disguise herself as a white slave master while her husband acted like her slave. Ellen put a cloth around her head to make it look like she had a tooth ache, so people would think she couldn't talk well so her husband had to talk for her. Then they went to the train station and bought a ticket north so they could be free.
